About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a program manager to design and manage a research portfolio for the new Constellation for Natural Capital of the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre.
In this role, you will build on existing connections to create vital collaborative applied research initiatives between industry and universities on topics relevant to natural capital and climate resilience. You will help initiate and oversee a range of high quality, innovative research projects and have the opportunity to collaborate as a researcher on some of them. In addition, you will help supervise and mentor Higher Degree by Research students associated with the projects and/or Constellation as a whole. As Program Manager you will work with colleagues in the CRC and RMIT. You will embed your research expertise into the life of the School, University and the CRC and develop relevant, productivity-driven research networks with local and national, internal and external partners.
About You
You’re a self-starter with an established ability to manage successful research projects in the agribusiness and other relevant domains. You will have an emerging track record of research publications and be passionate about developing new research initiatives that achieve better outcomes for industry. You enjoy working with diverse collaborators and research teams to develop beneficial partnerships, while also being able to work well individually. You have strong networks in relevant areas and a great aptitude in building networks with internal and external partners.
