Water leaks in agricultural infrastructure are costly and pose risks to livestock health, especially in remote areas. Cattle require continuous access to water, and undetected leaks can lead to significant losses in productivity and animal welfare. This project addresses these issues by the development of a water leak detection model that can provide farmers with water usage insights, reducing response times to address leaks, and ensuring water security.
The project aimed to develop a model that uses data collected from existing Farmbot water monitoring technology for the purposes of detecting leaks in farm water infrastructure. From this the project developed a prototype leak detection solution based on this model to allow for further improvements and validation of the model as well as perform field trials.
